Rewards Tracker
Project Overview
I was sitting in the Delta lounge during a long layover and wondering whether my annual card fee was actually worth it. Benefits are valuable, but they reset on different schedules and are easy to forget. The existing apps either pushed subscriptions or required linking financial accounts, which felt unnecessary for a simple tracker. The goal became building a privacy-first, no-friction way to track perks.
App Screens
Challenge
Premium card benefits are scattered across monthly, quarterly, and annual credits, so it is easy to miss value. Many tools introduce friction through subscriptions, upsells, or data connections. The challenge was creating something that felt simple and trustworthy, while still being comprehensive enough to cover multiple cards and benefit types.
Solution
Designed the product end-to-end with a focus on clarity, progress, and reminders, while keeping all data local to the device. Key features include:
• Multi-card benefit lists organized by category and renewal cadence
• Calendar view displaying reset dates and upcoming deadlines
• Dashboard tracking captured annual value versus total potential value
• Smart reminders configurable by preferred notification window
• Local-only storage with no financial account connections or tracking
Result
Rewards Tracker helps users capture value they would otherwise forget, without sharing financial data or paying for subscriptions. It’s a practical example of building a focused consumer utility from a real moment of curiosity, then shipping something simple, useful, and privacy-first.
