Chorsy
Project Overview
Chorsy started after seeing how often families bounce between fridge charts, sticky notes, and apps that are either too complicated or built around subscriptions. The goal was straightforward: make chores feel simple for parents and genuinely motivating for kids, without accounts, tracking, or paywalls. It was also a chance to build and ship a consumer product independently and keep it intentionally lightweight.

Challenge
Chore systems fail when setup is annoying or when kids lose interest quickly. Many apps add friction through logins, subscriptions, ads, or overly complex dashboards. The challenge was designing a product that felt instantly usable, fun enough for kids to return to, and trustworthy for parents who do not want to share family data.
Solution
Designed the full product experience from concept through launch, focusing on simplicity, privacy, and positive feedback loops. Key features include:
• Parent dashboard with quick setup, flexible scheduling, and reward configuration tools
• Kid experience with simple completion flows and positive celebratory feedback
• Token and cash-style reward options adaptable to different families
• Offline-first architecture with no accounts, tracking, or analytics
• Clear visual system and App Store assets aligned to a friendly tone
Result
Chorsy is live in the App Store as a fully functioning app used by real families. It is completely free with no ads, no tracking, and no in-app purchases. The project is intentionally built around trust, usefulness, and the fun of making something real that people can actually use.
